It was in 1988, not long after Bp. Joseph Pastor Neelankavil took charge of the diocese of Sagar that a plot of land, 8 acres was bought by the diocese, through the initiative of Rev. Fr. Jacob Peenickaparambil.   

Pushpa Church was blessed by Bp Joseph Neelankavil on 8th July 2004 with the Ordination of Dn. Biju Philip.  It was built by Bro. Varghese Savari and the Parish priest was Fr. Selvichan John.  Pushpa Vidhyalaya initally started in a rented house on 1st July 2001.

The auspicious day of blessing was the feast of St. Thomas Apostle, 3rd July 2002.  Credit goes to Rev. Deacon Varghese Savari, who ventured into it against all odds.  The new school building sprang up in three months’ time.  The villagers were thrilled, classes full.
